Information regarding those store bought fire pits/bowls run by propane. How long do they burn? Cost of running for about 5 hours. Any suggestions of which work best? Last longer? I am looking at the ones that look like they have a stone foundation or larger burn area more than the small ones that would go on a patio.

I really want to purchase one of those fire tables, you know the ones that are a propane firepit with a table that surrounds it? It can have chairs that match but I am fine getting a set of chairs separately as well. I live in Victoria so close to there would be great!

I am looking for a rough cost to buidl a fire pit. I need to have the propane line pulled probably about 12 - 15 feet. I think it has to go underground? Also, I want the fire pit to be roughly 4' in diameter and probably around 3-4' in height made out of stone with the top "open". Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be possible to build a custom firepit that ran on propanne by using the internal componits of an old gas BBQ grill. Is there a way you could change the regulation of the gas to increase the size of the flame. I want to place a gas burner into a old kettle grill with a metal grill over the top and fit it into a structure built with brick. using concrete board on top of the brick and cutting the hole for the kettle with an angle grinder. I would run the propane line down the middle and out of the bottom and connect to a propane tank. I would hve to use a lighter or match to light or add a electric starter. I think its a good idea but I dont know if it would work. I dont know alot about propane. If anyone has any insight please share. Thanks

i dunno, i think it might. just because gas smells different than regular wood burning.

I'm trying to justify a propane fueled fire pit. Besides keeping warm in chilly weather, does it help keep mosquitoes away in warmer weather? I'm almost wondering if the heat actually might attract them.

The yard is not huge, and really we just need a fire pit to burn old brush and what not. I know nothing about yardwork stuff.
