I am building a retaining wall which will be the back drop of a gas fire pit. I was planning the following: Inner diameter = 55 inches (140cm) 36" SS fire ring Outside diameter = 80 inches (200 cm) Height of pit walls = 20 inches (50 cm) Walk way around fire pit = 28 to 35 inches (70 to 90cm) The built in seats will be 18 inches (45cm) deep and the back will be 26 inches (60cm) high. I am freaking out because I am questioning: 1. Will this be too big? 2. Will we be too far from the fire? 3. Will my propane tank provide enough pressure (65 feet or 20m from the pit. 4. Is it better to have the SS fire ring be the same size as the fire pit. All you fire pit kings, thanks for your help. Keep in mind that it is a hard built structure, so I will have to live will all the dimensions I go with. Thanks. Patrick

I need help finding a device or method to increase the flame height. The fire ring is 8 ft long, so I need a device that increases the gas flow or pressure to increase the flame height. Gas piped in directly from my residence and is at a standard rate/flow. Any ideas or solutions out there?

I have a rather large firepit that is circled by large rocks. Every time I clean it, it seems to get bigger. I want to put a fire ring in it's place. What is the best way to do it and where can I get a fire ring? I was hoping to use a 36" or 42" ring

even just like ten. it was the one place that the ring could be destroyed, why didn't he protect it if he wanted the ring so bad and definitely did not want it destroyed?

My boyfriend built a fire pit ring and we just dug a hole for it. It is completely underground, so the top would be leveled with the ground around it. We then put gravel in the bottom and left it alone until today when we checked it, after raining, the fire pit is filled with water and not draining at all. I think because its so deep, the dirt is more clay like and just doesn't soak up the water. Is there an easy way to get it to drain? I cant see us possibly pulling it out after all that, to install some kind of drain.

Don't take it the wrong way.. I live in the country and we are allowed to have a fire in the yard as long as there is a fire pit or fire ring. I don't know what to do to start the fire, what kind wood is needed, how to make a fire pit, etc. Is there a video or something that can help me? I'm not really the outdoorsy type, but I do enjoy sitting by the fire.

I'd like to install one of these in my yard. (I live in the mountains, so it's allowed.) I'd like to do this for my hubby for Father's Day, so I'm in a bit of a hurry. I'd really like a no frills, solid metal ring, like the ones used at campsites and picnic areas and such. Any idea where I could buy one??
